A Study On The Inter-ethnic Relations Governance In The Nation-state Construction Process Of Philippines

The nation is the main form of the modern world of international relations,since the birth of the nation,not only brought huge power of nation,it also brings great challenges to the existing nation.The success or not for nation construction,it will affects the stability of existing international relations.For the new independent nation,nation construction is a modernization task also.It will be brings serious challenges for the national stability and development.Philippines,as a newly emerging nation-state was born after the Second World War.After the independence,the newly emerging nation states were faced with a very heavy task of nation-state building.In addition,Philippines,has experienced the long colonial rule of colonial rule by Spain and United States.Such experience formed two ethnic groups in the North and South Philippines,the north part had formed the feudal political asylum form,the south part has far away from Philippines national state power center for a long time.In the economy,the development of Philippines's state capitalism is limited for the long-term formation of the colonial economic model,so that its economic lifeline is subject to international capital.The culture,the Spanish colonial rule to prevent the spread of Islam in the north of Philippines,and spread of Catholicism successfully in North Central Philippines.The southern Philippines Muslim ethnic consciousness was intensification with the impact of the Moro war and American colonial civilization assimilation policy.On this basis,the independent Philippines government attempts numbers measures to take the national integration,but the measures are not so effected so obvious.Military control period of Marcos led to the emergence of Moro rebel organizations,the rebels armed conflicts with the government.Although the subsequent Philippines government had reach a compromise with rebel groups.So there is a long way still for Philippines to go on for its nation intergration.This paper makes a research on the formation of Philippines and the national integration,focuses on the construction policy of Philippines government after independence,discuss the response of policy from different ethnic groups,through the dynamic process,reflecting the construction of Philippines nation results.
