With the further deepening of economic integration,the exchanges between countries in the politics,economy,and culture have become increasingly profound.Language,as a carrier of culture,plays a more important role in culture exchanges.The importance of translation,as a bridge of cultural exchange between different languages,can not be ignored.This paper is a translation report on cultural-loaded words in America's New Democracy.The book,America's New Democracy,written by Morris P.Fiorina,Paul E.Peterson,Bertram D.Johnson and William G.Mayer,introduces political system of the United Statesfrom the perspectives of Constitution,election and divided powers.The translation report is divided into four parts: the first chapter is the introduction of the translation project,including the project introduction and work analysis.The second chapter introduces the definitionof cultural-loaded words and the third chapter focuses on the classification of cultural-loaded words.Fourthly,thisreport focuses on the translation methods of each type.Finally,the author summarizes the experience and lessons drawn from the translation process and the problems still to be solved.
