| Language is the most important communication tool for human beings.We rely on daily verbal communication to maintain interpersonal relationships.But now we can achieve daily communication and contact through a variety of network communication platforms,such as WeChat,micro-blog,etc.In the communication software that relies on the terminal of mobile phone,computer and so on,we can communicate with friends and family in time.Conversation based on network is different from our daily meeting and chat.It reflects different communication relationships between people,reflects people's different living conditions,and is a special verbal communication activity.Internet chat is neither face-to-face verbal communication nor face-to-face correspondence.Its media,the Internet,makes this communication activity unique.We chat with others in the network,due to not see each other's expression,and the expression of chat is essential,so people first began to simulate the use of various characters on the computer keyboard of the facial expression,so that the original network emoticons is born.With the popularity of Internet and mobile communication and the further development of science and technology,the expression of Internet emoticons is becoming more and more widely used,and forms are becoming more and more diversified.It has increasingly become an indispensable way of communication for people to chat online.This paper from the perspective of verbal communication of network chat this interpersonal activities is defined as a special type different from daily oral communication and written communication,and also put network emoticons to achieve specific communicative intention as our means of communication in verbal communication activities in the.This is a new perspective to analyze the network expressions and symbols.This is the starting point for the study of the communicative function of the network emoticons.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the first and the second chapters,mainly including the origin of the topic,the research status of the emoticonsand their functions,the research methods and the significance of the research.The third chapter to the fifth chapter is the second part,which is the main body of this study.The first part is about the nature,characteristics and classification of Internet emoticons,and analyzes the related characteristics of Internet emoticons as communicative means in the general framework of online verbal communication activities.Next,the relationship between the network emoticons and the language symbols is discussed,including the relationship between the linear structure and the distribution of meaning.The network emoticons,due to their own formal features,are involved in communication with language symbols,and some are involved in communication alone.When Internet emoticons and linguistic symbols are used to communicate intention expression,it is generally used to express the emotional components of communicative meaning,highlight the mood of language expression,or avoid ambiguity,making the meaning expression clearer.When it is involved in communication alone,it can express some simple meaning,or express the meaning that the language can't express.In short,Internet emoticons are the means of communication to assist language symbols.They mainly assume the meaning that language can not express or express accurately.Finally,starting from the functions of language,combined with the relationship between Internet emoticons and linguistic signs,we analyze the communicative functions of Internet emoticons in online verbal communication activities.Emoticons in the Internet mainly have the function of expressing inner feelings and coordinating interpersonal relationships.Besides,they also have the function of expressing objective facts and activating communicative scope.The last part is the conclusion,which is the overview and summary of the research results of this article,and at the same time,it also puts forward the shortage of this research. |
