In recent years,developmental psychologists main researchers are such as the developmental characteristics of children's lying behavior at different ages ? the relationship between children's lying behavior and the conceptual understanding of lies ? factors that influencing Children's judgment and Evaluation of lying,such as theory of mind.There has a common characteristic of previous documents:the role of liar always was children within story scene.But in real life,teachers also lie for different reasons.Therefore,our study mainly discusses:1.how children understand and evaluate different types of lies that teachers or peers say 2.When teachers and peers are told to lie,how do children evaluate their different motivational lies.This research investigated the understanding and moral evaluation of lies and truth-telling of the children at the age of 7?9?11through compiling the different types of selfish lies and altruistic lies in two setting conditions.Besides,we discussed the effect of lie labelling on understanding and moral evaluation of lies and truth-telling.This study consists of three experiments:study 1 was designed within the subject,it's mainly discusses the children's understanding and evaluation of teacher's lies.Study 2 based on the results of study 1,we adjusted the material and continue to explore children's understanding and evaluation of lies and truth.Study 3 examined the lexical effect of a lie label on children's evaluations of different lie types.The results of our study as follows:(1)Whether the liar is a teacher or a child,the significant difference appears in lie evaluating between 7and 11 years old that 11 years old were evaluated the selfish lies more negatively compared with 7 years old children;on the contrary,children at the age of 11 were evaluated the altruistic lies more positively(2)Children rated the teacher's selfish lies more negatively and rated peer's selfish lies more positively.(3)The lie labelling lowed 7-11 years old children's evaluations for the altruistic lies but not for the selfish lies.
