Opera The Long March was composed by the National Grand Theatre in 2016 to commemorate the 80 anniversary of the victory of the Chinese red army long march launch.The play faithfully reproduced the arduous journey of the Chinese red army long march,created by the Chinese red army of workers and peasants and portraits of proletarian revolutionaries as the main body of the revolutionary hero and praised them to struggle for the ideal and faith’s lofty spirit of sacrifice,and cherish the memory of The Long March,the greatest miracles in human history.As to the thoughts and the theme of the play,it absorbs the essence of all the"long march" culture,glorifies its wonderful spirits and echoes with the current calling ’stay true to the mission’ and represents the value orientation of the mainstream culture in contemporary China.As to its art value,it is a great achievement for Chinese opera to learn from the experience of Chinese national opera.In terms of creation and performance,it has assembled a group of famous artists,such as Yin Qing,Zou Jingzhi,Yan Weiwen,Wang Hongwei and Wang Zhe.It is no doubt that the long march is a high level opera with both ideological and artistic quality,which is of great research value.Among them,due to the specific theme,it does not to praise the individual hero legend story,rather the typical shape of the red army groups,portraits of revolutionary hero.This is different from the ordinary folk opera,which is quite innovative and worthy of attention.In this paper,I will analysis the opera The Long March and regard the "portraits of revolutionary hero image of music" as the main object.The paper bases on the first-hand data,combines it with parts of some professional books literature and the related theory of opera and discusses it by method of the traditional study.Meanwhile,In order to make this thesis clearly in the course of argument,the author divides the article into five parts:introduction,chapter one,chapter two,chapter three and conclusion:In the introduction part,the paper comprehensively expounded the aspects of research value and significance,research status and methods.The first chapter covers the contents of the opera The Long March,the analysis of the creation backgrounds and the origin and value of the opera.There are two sections in this chapter:the first is to discuss the origin and content of the opera The Long March based on the cognition and the second section discusses the process and value of the creation process of the opera The Long March.The second chapter analyzes the artistic creation features of the opera.In order to understand and grasp the artistic features of its creation,this chapter can be divided into three parts as a whole.There are the art origin---the relationship between the opera The Long March and the national opera,the theme of the thoughts-Chinese revolution themes,the great The Long March spirit and socialist core values.The last one is artistic creation and distinctive forms of Chinese opera.The third chapter is the main part of the thesis and mainly discusses the music image of the heroes.This chapter consists of three sections:the first one is the various forms of chorus,which manifests the images of the army of the Chinese workers and peasants.The second one is the drama music interaction--the typical individual in the heroic image.The third part is theme music in the opera--the spirits of the heroes strengthened by the romanticism.The conclusion part firstly summarizes the law of music image creation of the revolutionary heroes in the opera The Long March,and looks forward to the future development of Chinese revolutionary national opera from a personal perspective.This is the author’s personal opinion based on the analysis of the paper.
