Ballad of the Canal is the first national opera in China that completely adopts national singing style.This opera uses the canal as a story background,tells the destiny of each stratum at both sides of the canal,and praises the great love of people along the canal.Ballad of the Canal integrates with the Chinese and western music elements,embodies the inheritance and innovation of the national opera,and displays the music character of nationality.In this paper,by using the heroine Shui Honglian in Ballad of the Canal as a research object and regarding the aria Qin Sheng,Are You OK as an example,I am going to make the in-depth analysis on the musical image shaping and performance mastery.This paper was composed of the introduction,the main body of three chapters and conclusions.In the introduction,I will systematically elaborate the research objective,significance,method and research status.The main body discussed from three aspects:chapter 1 analyzed the research background,story summary and national music features in Ballad of the Canal.By using Qin Sheng,Are You OK as an example,chapter 2 analyzed music image shape of Shui Honglian.In chapter 3,analyzed the Shui Honglian's performance mastery in Qin Sheng,Are You OK.In conclusions,the author summarized the whole paper.Qin Sheng,Are You OK shows the strong music drama.The melodic changes in the full shape of different images and inner changes of Shui Honglian and depicts the bright personality,which is representative.Research this work has the important significance on studying and mastering Chinese national operas.I hope to provide the beneficial reference in this paper,so that performer can get a better interpretation and shaping of Shui Honglian in Qin Sheng,Are You OK.
