The national opera "Canal ballad" is a large-scale original opera work created by the National Centre for the Performing Arts.It was first premiered in 2012 and was highly praised by the audience inside and outside the industry.The drama takes the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal as the background of the story,takes the Eternal Present of the Past in Ming Dynasty as the background of the times,and take the legendary storyline and the relationship between the characters as the artistic features.It tells us the emotional intertwining of a intellectual and two girls,tells the story of the vicissitudes of human life,eulogizes the eternal morality and sincere love in life.This article begins with the background of the play,in-depth understanding of the main thread of the opera,and secondly,the clear positioning of the characters in the text form,laying the foundation for shaping the character image.The article focuses on the actual deduction of the character "Shui Honglian" in the master's graduation report,from the establishment of inner emotions,the shaping of music images,the processing of lines and the expression of body language.The character image is deeply analyzed and portrayed by the interpretation of inner emotions and the performance of external limbs.In the singing,it takes aria "Are You Alright,Qin" as the focus of analysis,from the adjustment of the resonance cavity,the use of breathing,the artistic treatment of the work,based on the combination of theory and practice,and explores the author's pondering,thinking,percepting and understanding in shaping the stage character "Shui Honglian".
