The opera "canal ballad " is a folk opera launched by the national center for the performing arts in June 2012.In the opera,a variety of Chinese folk music elements are included,which vividly and interestingly demonstrates the characteristics of Chinese folk music.The opera script was originally written by the writer after field collection,and the theme of the opera was the love story of the little people.The Shui Honglian in the play left a deep impression,Shui Honglian is a warm,kind sincere,dare to love and hate the brave woman.Several of her main songs,"canal ballad","Qin Sheng,are you ok?" and "love in the afterlife",run through the life of the Shui Honglian in the play,which respectively show us different aspects of the Shui Honglian and affect the development of the whole story.The author will interpret these three songs from the perspective of combining theory with practice.This paper will analyze how to interpret a song in place by taking the three main passages of Shui Honglian as examples.This paper will be divided into three chapters to study,respectively from the first,to introduce the general situation of "canal ballad" :including the opera creation background,story outline and musical characteristics;Second,the role analysis of the water red lotus: analysis of different periods of the Shui Honglian image and character characteristics;Third,section analysis: including section form analysis,harmony analysis,lyrics analysis and singing skills.It combines theory with practice,USES scientific theory to guide practice,and applies theoretical analysis to actual stage performance.
