A Study On The Structure Of “X Dao(shi) X”

The adverb "daoshi" has been gradually reduced in the process of lexical evolution,while the explanation of "daoshi" in dictionary is more focused on syntactic explanation.Therefore,the understanding of lexical meaning is difficult to grasp from the specific use of the environment." X daoshi X" construction as people in daily life,the use of high frequency oral expression,structure composition between already solidified into a fixed form,so simply on the meaning and usage of the vocabulary itself cannot explain many linguistic phenomena,ignore the vocabulary reflected in the attachment structure in the whole meaning and usage.Therefore,the study of adverbs should be put into specific syntactic structure and language environment to grasp its specific meaning more comprehensively and deeply.In this paper,the adverb " daoshi" is placed in the structure of " X daoshi X ",and the whole structure of " X daoshi X" is taken as the research object from the perspective of construction grammar and cognitive linguistics,making a comprehensive analysis of the common features of " X daoshi X " in terms of semantic features,syntactic structure and pragmatic functions.The first part of the article is the introduction,which introduces the research object and scope of " X daoshi X " construction,briefly reviews the research status and achievements related to " X daoshi X " construction,expounds its purpose and value as the research object,and briefly explains the main research methods and corpus collection used in the research.In the first chapter,the structure of " X daoshi X " is identified,and it is confirmed that " X daoshi X " is a structure.The second chapter discusses the access condition of the structure,and makes a systematic study of the variable "x" which can enter the " X daoshi X " structure and the interaction between the former and the latter.The third and fourth chapters make a comprehensive study and analysis of the semantic features,syntactic structure and pragmatic functions of the structure from the syntactic and pragmatic aspects.The fifth chapter summarizes the common characteristics of some constructions related to " X daoshi X ",focusing on the analysis of their personality differences to avoid confusion.The conclusion partsummarizes and concludes the previous conclusions,and explains the shortcomings and limitations in the research process.
