Colors In Lu Xun's Works:Black And White And Red

Art goes through the thinking,aesthetics and creation of Lu Xun.In his childhood,Baiyue folk-custom influenced Lu Xun's artistic aesthetics subtly,and the single color composition became the “woodcut complex” accompanying him in his whole life.When studying in Japan,a large number of western expressionist art works provided rich resources for his later creation,and the art concept of pragmaticism became the important guidance for his artistic activities in old age.Comparing with the writers of the same period,Lu Xun's works present artistic intuition and visual metaphor beyond words.While the color and composition of Lu Xun's texts are another channel for us to walk into Lu Xun's spiritual world.Kandinsky believes that colors have a kind of power directly influencing soul,the color expression depends on the corresponding vibration of the mind of people,and in other words,both literature and art are the path for inner emotion's extension,or it is the same path.Starting from the association between art and Lu Xun's inner spirit,the inner association between artistic preference and art works of the artist Lu Xun is explored further from this perspective supported by Chinese and Western artistic theories.Walk into the spiritual world of the artist Lu Xun,thus to restore this leisurely and gentle Mr.in artists' eyes.Black,white and red with highest occurrence frequency are selected in this paper.White has a dazzling light,slender but very sharp;black is able to suppress the brilliant rays,and as the favorite color of Lu Xun,it was always taken by him to express thoughts and feelings;red,the variation of depth is taken as a cool burning passion,as like the lingering sound after climax,and as what Goethe considered,red integrates all other colors.When all colors are enhanced for crazy comparison,a spurt-out beauty of power will be generated,while this is exactly the paradise of the artist Lu Xun.
