The discrimination of synonyms has always been the focus in the research of Chinese ontology,and it is also a difficult point in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At the same time,adverbs are troublesome for foreign students because of their abstract meaning and complexity of usage.And the modal adverbs are also important in the teaching of adverbs.Therefore,the group of synonyms and the adverbs of modality “Bijing”“Jiujing” and “Daodi” are taken as the starting point in this thesis.Through a study of semantics and syntax,a questionnaire survey of foreign students from South Asian countries in Zhengzhou University was conducted.In the meantime,taking the corpus as a supplement,these both are used to examine the error made by South Asian students,we classify the error to discuss the reasons about the error of South Asian students and propose relevant Teaching strategies.Based on the statistical analysis of the questionnaire and the errors of the South Asian students in the corpus,this thesis puts forward the teaching strategies in the future from the perspectives of teaching materials,teaching methods and international students.The compilation of teaching materials should strive to explain accurately,attach importance to comparative analysis,increase the number of exercises;the teachers should pay attention to contrast teaching in teaching methods,choose the teaching emphasis in stages,concentrate on teaching and practice,and set up situations;learners themselves should overcome the feelings of fear of difficulties,fit into Chinese learning environment,attach importance to contrastive learning,overcome negative transfer,change learning concept and pay attention to learning of adverb.Through the investigation of South Asian students,we find that there are both objective and subjective reasons.The complexity of the words,the defects of the textbook,the absence of the Chinese environment and the negative transfer of the media,the negative transfer of the target language and the strategy of avoidance are the main sources of the errors of the South Asian students.This thesis makes a survey of the learning situation of “Bijing” “Jiujing” and“Daodi” about South Asian students,we find out the reasons for errors and put forward teaching strategies in order to make a useful exploration to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in the future.
