The Hermeneutical Significance Of "Quoting Out Of Context"

The "Quoting Out Of Context" is a special phenomenon in the tradition of Chinese classical interpretation,which was originated from the activity of Chanting Poems in ZuoZhuan.As the core content of the Chanting Poems,"Quoting Out Of Context" contains related issues of comprehension and interpretation,but it does not belong to the common text hermeneutics,in other words,it is not the reader's interpretation of the text based on the mode of thinking of "Subject-Object".From the perspective of "life-existence",we can re-analyze the activity of Chanting Poems(the phenomenon of "Duanzhangfushi"),and draw a conclusion that "Quoting Out Of Context" is the activity of Pre-subjective interpretation:the Chanting Poems not only gives the Chanter a new subjectivity,but also gives the poems a new objectivity.The paper consists of five parts including introduction and conclusion:The introduction mainly elaborates the significance of the hermeneutics meaning of the concept of "Quoting Out Of Context" in the construction of Chinese classical hermeneutics and present research situation to point out the thoughts of this study.The first chapter mainly examines the nature of Chanting Poems.As the Existential situation,the "Banquet"(Xiang)and "Chanting Poems" makes "Quoting Out Of Context" become the activity of Pre-subjective interpretation.The second chapter mainly analyzes the generation of the new meaning of Poems in the Chanting.The core of the Chanting poems is the generation of "Ambition(Chi)",and its generative mechanism is the "Quoting Out Of Context".The generation of"Ambition" means that the poem is given a new meaning.This is the basic content of the hermeneutical significance of the "Quoting Out Of Context".The third chapter mainly discusses the generation of the new subjectivity of the Chanter.The special function "Xing" in "Poem" and the original meaning structure of the "Chanting"(Fu)make Chanters change in the activity of "Quoting Out Of Context",that is,Chanters are given a new subjectivity.The conclusion mainly summarizes the main contents and conclusions of the thesis,proposes the concept of "Pre-subjective interpretation" and expresses the intention of further studying of the hermeneutical significance of the fashion of the"Using poems" in the Spring and Autumn Period and the tradition of "Citing from the classics or ancient works".
