Taoism's 28 Constellations' Image Research And Creative Design Practice

In order to observe the changes of the sun,the moon and the stars,ancient people have divided the sky into 28 parts.In addition,each part of stars contains seven constellations.Therefore,they are usually called Taoism's 28 Constellations.As one of essence of Chinese top traditional cultures,28 constellations are involved in ancient astronomy,religion,literature and astrology.With the method of literature review,the thesis conducts overall interpretation of Taoism's 28 Constellations and researches the constellation's artistic image,development of Taoism signs and belief value of constellation cultures.Then,with the way of iconology research,it implements analysis and narration of the form and color.In addition,it creates the creative design in the blank field of 28 constellation chromatography and divine blessing package.Combining with 28 constellations and human acupoints,it creates series of photographs of 28 constellations.“Besides eight million gods in the heaven and earth,all the living creatures can be gods.” So,it is a new attempt to have isomorphic design with the connection of Taoism's 28 constellations and signs,which is beyond the applications of more materials trying to achieve more research development in the creation of art,astronomy,religion and modern design.Besides,with thinking methods and skills in modern design,it conducts the research on creative design and with the connection of “traditional Chinese star divination” culture,it creates the complete and excellent visual art works.Furthermore,the author's graduation works can be directly applied to Cultural and Creative Center of International Taoism Qingcheng Mountain to be established.Therefore,it will be helpful for improving the homogenization of cultural and creative products in Qingcheng Mountain scenic spot and changing the fixed impression of traditional Taoism,which will lead to creative inspiration and economic benefits.
