Under the background of "improving the national cultural soft power" and "strengthening the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage",various regions have launched cultural and creative tourism products with great regional characteristics to strengthen the promotion of local culture and the integration of tourism development. However, the development of cultural and creative IP products in the Miao region is relatively late, lacking representative designs and not well known.Young people are less aware of them.Using innovative design to develop cultural IP in the Miao region is the best opportunity to conduct a practical exploration. In order to do a good research, the article obtains data through field research, interviews, and questionnaires, and initially understands that the reason for the backwardness of tourism in the Miao region is the lack of a unique regional image of the Miao,as well as the lack of innovation in cultural and creative products and the small range of audience. To this end,the article investigates the classification, origin and symbolic meaning of Miao patterns from the perspective of visual art language symbols, explores the feasible development direction of Miao cultural IP and its series of cultural and creative applications in the information age,and conducts theoretical research and practical creation to raise the attention of young people and tourists to Miao culture, stimulate the interest of buying cultural and creative products, and promote the integration of culture and tourism. The research results of the article provide a basis for the development of tourism in the Miao region. The research results of the article provide valuable reference ideas for the design of Miao cultural and creative tourism.
