The Study On The Ancient Chinese Illustration Of Stone Inscription Documents

The research of stone inscription documents has emerged since the Song Dynasty,experienced the decline of the Yuan and Ming Dynasty,and renaissance in the Qing Dynasty.In the past almost one thousand years,there have been a large number of scholars and research works on stone inscription documents.In the field of stone inscriptionology,all kinds of writing styles and research methods have been basically established since the beginning of stone inscription documentation.Modern epigraphy scholars have summarized.And one of the writing styles adopts the form of images in the study of stone inscriptions.For example,Jinshi Tu,the tenth volume of Yushi,Epigraphy illustration,the sixth chapter of Chinese Epigraphy,and Tracing of Epigraphy,the fifth chapter of Epigraphy and so on.which are prevue of this kind stone inscription documents.The earliest extant image-recording and research of stone inscriptionology is the illustration of stone inscription,the fifth volume of Lixu.In terms of analysis of the content,it is easy to discover that the illustration of stone inscription has rich connotations.First of all,the illustration is a style of recording stone documents,including images and diagrams.Secondly,the illustration is a method of studying stone inscription,which can copy the whole or part of the stone inscription according to a certain proportion.Finally,it can also mean The illustration of the stone inscription document and the reproduction and reprocessing of the original stone form of the stone inscription document.Due to the influence of the illustration of stone inscription in Lishi,there have been many works of stone inscriptionology with the same styles and methods in the Qing Dynasty,such as Jinshi Tu and Jinshi Suo.The thesis aims to comb and analyze the the illustration of stone inscription and the illustration of stone inscription documents,to explore its related background,to introduce its characteristics,and then from this perspective to examine the status of the stone inscriptionology in the corresponding historical period of ancient China.The first part of this thesis is an introduction.It mainly gives a brief description of the research status,significance,and work content of the topics involved.The second part of this thesis enters the topic,combines the research materials of ancient stone inscriptionology and the expressions of related scholars,discusses the contents of the illustration of stone inscription and the illustration of stone inscription documents,and formally defines the concepts of the illustration of stone inscription.Then compares the illustration of stone inscription document with the rubbing from stone tablets,book with outline-trace and fill,shrinken facsimile,photographical document,to save and study the different stone inscription documents,in order to clarify the characteristics of the illustration of stone inscription.The third part of this thesis discusses the background of the formation of the illustration of stone inscription and the illustration of stone inscription document.Based on the two aspects——the study of epigraphy and illustration from the Song Dynasty,the illustration of stone inscription and the illustration of stone inscription document are the results of the joint effect of these two external factors.The fourth part of this thesis is mainly to summarize the ancient Chinese illustration of stone inscription documents and analyze its basic contents,styles and characteristics.Although there are various differences between different the illustration of stone inscription and the illustration of stone inscription documents,such as the scope of the illustration of stone inscription,ways,text descriptions,research contents.All these documents have the common ground,which is the combination of stone illustration and description.In addition to the special illustration of stone inscription documents,collecting the illustration of stone inscription data which exist other stone inscriptionology books.The fifth part of this thesis mainly analyzes and summarizes different types of illustrations,introduces the important functions and values of restoring,preserving,and researching stone inscription documents,as well as its own shortcomings.The sixth part of this thesis is an epilogue.It mainly discusses the influence of the illustration of stone inscription document and the status of these documents in the history of stone inscriptionology.
