Research Of Stone Inscription In Shanxi Northern Dynasties

Shanyou,used to refer to Shanxi,because it lives on the right side of Taihang Mountain.Since the Northern Wei Dynasty set the capital of Pingcheng in 398 AD,Shanxi’s position in northern society has become increasingly prominent and has become an important base for the Northern Wei,Eastern Wei and Northern Qi regimes,and its preserved stone inscriptions of the Northern Dynasties contained rich historical information.Series of Stone Inscription in Shanyou,compiled by the scholar Hu Pinzhi of the Qing Dynasty during his tenure in Shanxi,can be regarded as a masterpiece of Shanxi stone inscriptions works in Qing Dynasty,which is of great historical value.However,this book was only recorded up to the Qing Dynasty,and many Northern Dynasties stone inscriptions unearthed in later generations in Shanxi have not been recorded.So this paper takes Series of Stone Inscription in Shanyou as the breakthrough point,and supplement other representative stone inscriptions of the Northern Dynasties in Shanxi,researching Shanxi Northern Dynasty stone inscriptions by taking epitaphs,steles and statues inscriptions as the main research objects.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an overview of the writings of Shanxi stone inscriptions.It sorts out the monographs of Shanxi stone inscriptions since the Qing Dynasty,focusing on the compilation and academic value of Series of Stone Inscription in Shanyou,and Points out its advantages and disadvantages.It also discusses the development background of Shanyou Northern Dynasty stone inscriptions and the reason why it has been hidden and invisible for a long time.The second chapter studies the Shanyou stone inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty,starting from the social and cultural background of the Northern Wei court,to explore the changes of Shanxi stone inscriptions style in Pingcheng period and Luoyang period.The third chapter is the research of Shanxi stone inscriptions in the Eastern Wei Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty.It discusses the phenomenon and causes of Lihua of stone inscriptions in this period.During the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi periods,a large number of stone inscriptions were concentrated in Pingding,Shanxi.So this paper analyzes the unique geographical location of Shanxi Pingding.The fourth chapter discusses the influence of the Western Wei and Northern Zhou regime on local stone inscriptions from the calligraphy style of stone inscriptions in southwest Shanxi.The fifth chapter makes a textual research on the controversial issues in the Northern Dynasty stone inscriptions in Series of Stone Inscription in Shanyou,involving the statue maker,unearthed place and related issues,and discusses the characters and engraving in the stone inscriptions.This article takes Series of Stone Inscription in Shanyou as the breakthrough point,starting from the social and cultural background of the Northern Dynasties,taking Shanxi stone inscriptions of the Northern Dynasty as the main research object,analyzing the influence of politics,culture and religion of the Northern Dynasties on Shanxi stone inscriptions calligraphy,in order to put forward some new ideas,and more truly restore the features of Shanxi stone inscriptions in the Northern Dynasties.
