Research On The Body Experience Of Shusterman's Somaesthetics

Schusterman,a representative of the neo-pragmatism aesthetics in the United States,who established a new discipline named Somaesthetics.He thinks it could promote self-improvement through improving body awareness in his theory.It is the core of self-care in philosophy that improve physical consciousness through training physical practically.It is concerned with the living experience in physical training in Somaesthetics.It enables the experiencing subject to gain a sense of transcendental pleasure and freedom when see physical experience as a special aesthetic experience.This thesis mainly studies the physical experience concept in Shustermann's Somaesthetics through taking "experience" as the starting point.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is mainly to explain the physical experience concept in Shusterman's Somaesthetics.First of all,it briefly summarizes Shusterman's Somaesthetics,and discusses its constitute of from the perspective of body-experience concept in his Somaesthetics,then mainly analyzes the specific connotation of the body-experience concept.The second part analyzes the essence of physical experience based on taking the physical experience as a special form of aesthetic experience.It analyzes the characteristics of the concept and its aesthetic significance from the three levels about self-transcending and limited,instant intuition and liberated freedom.The third part discusses the important position of the body experience in the whole body aesthetics by putting the body experience back into the Somaesthetics.Then explores the relevance between theory of the body experience and issues of other physical aesthetics by analyzing its importance for the construction in Somaesthetics.The specific use of physical experience in practice has also been explored accordingly to demonstrate the critical status of physical experience.The fourth part summarizes the aesthetic value and significance of the body experience concept.It has caused human body to be overconsumed because of developed society.Therefore,it has become more important about significance of the physical experience.Moreover,it can harmonize and unify the body and mind through physical training,so as to achieve self-transformation and self-improvement which is of practical significance.
