"The celebrities imprisoned the factional political struggle" refers to the scholars who were imprisoned or killed by the government in the late Eastern Han Dynasty because of the movement. The party was composed of the officials and the students studying in the school formed by the government. Most of them supported the imperial power and formed a group by similar values, political ideals and moral systems to oppose the eunuchs and dukes. The Central Plains region is the birthplace of Chinese civilization, but also an important area where most party members lived and worked. In order to inherit the spirit of the party critically and find its significance and value to the culture of the Central Plains. We study the political career, the marriage and the academic works of the celebrities from the point of view of the philology.Based on the analysis of the distribution of the celebrities,we found that the number of party members in Yingchuan,Ru'nan,Nanyang and Chenliu was the largest, accounting for more than forty percent of the total number. This is closely related to the geopolitical location of the capital of the Eastern Han government. At that time, people who were talented gathered in Luoyang. The central government emphasized the study of the classics which led to a lively academic atmosphere.Their ancestors were rich and mainly government officials. And they learned classics with the officials or masters. Most of them started their official career through the promotion of Xiaolian, requisition or inheriting one's father's position.During their tenure of office, they struggled against the influential officials, protected the people and heard the cases with the traditional Confucian spirit of Chunqiu. The celebrities had unique view of their friendship. They had a good relationship with each other and struggled with the eunuchs and dukes. In order to expand the family economically and politically, they built marriage between families of equal social rank.In the view of the emperor the celebrities were over-powerful.They were slandered by the eunuchs, and eventually were imprisoned, killed,or fled to seclusion. On the one hand, the members of the party are loyal and benevolent, they both pay attention to reality and emotion, which came from Shijing and Chuci. On the other hand, they carry out the strict law and discarded the concept of loyalty and forgiveness. The spirit of the celebrities should be inherited critically today. The works of the celebrities are the reflection of their real life and spiritual world. The attitudes to the misfortune of the imprisoned celebrities were different from time to time.Their anecdotes were widely used in later literary works.
