At present,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.Culture is the soul of a country and the source of national cohesion.It is also one of the decisive factors of comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness.The great call of the party put forward by the party in the sixth Plenary Session of the 17 th CPC Central Committee to build a strong socialist cultural power is a new requirement for strengthening socialist cultural construction in China in the new era.This paper,in combing the connotation of cultural power and the development process of promoting the construction of cultural power and the significance of the construction of cultural power,analyzes the main problems in the process of building a socialist cultural power,including the challenges of the inheritance of excellent traditional culture in our country,the relatively low degree of popularization of the core values of socialism and the development of cultural industry.Relatively slow,the development of Internet culture is facing difficulties.Therefore,in the new era,in order to further strengthen the construction of socialist cultural power,we should further protect the excellent traditional cultural resources,speed up the process of popularization of the socialist core values,vigorously promote the development of our cultural industry and promote the overall development of the network culture.
