At the end of the 20th century,picture books rose in China.As a children's book,it can improve children,s reading interest,provide children with rich aesthetics,and cultivate children's imagination and creativity.It is a product of the development of the times.Its origin is Europe.The development of the picture book market in Asia,Japan,and South Korea is also relatively mature.The picture quality of developed countries is relatively high.Through the development of picture books at home and abroad and the understanding and analysis of the current state of the picture book market in China,we can see that due to the short development time of domestic picture books,and not mature enough,most of the hot selling in the market is the foreign introduction of picture books,domestic original picture books account for the The proportion is very small.Although the introduction of excellent foreign picture books can expand the horizons of children,but let the market be flooded with foreign books,it will lead to children's alienation of the local culture,is not conducive to the development of children's mental health in China.This project tries to use the print art to reinterpret classic folk tales through the understanding of folk tales and Chinese traditional prints.It integrates traditional print art and folk tales into picture book creation and strives to create original picture books with original features.Print art is one of the oldest paintings in China.Historically,it has played a huge role in promoting the spread of human culture and technology.However,the traditional woodcut printing profession is highly demanding,the people who truly understand printmaking are relatively rare.Therefore,the author will combine the needs of contemporary development with the use of printmaking,and try to use the traditional printmaking art form and modernity in the practice of the subject.The characteristics of the new materials are combined and applied in the creation of picture books.By creating original picture books with strong artistic style,our children have more opportunities to appreciate Chinese cultural traditions through picture books and appreciate the charm and profoundness of Chinese culture.It is hoped that subject research will be used as an opportunity to find new ideas for the development of China's original picture books and do its best.
