The Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Reform in the System of College Entrance Examination was issued by State Council in September 2014,which completely opens the era of New College Entrance Examination(NCEE)and will have significant impact on the English curriculum and English teaching in senior high school.There is no doubt that it will also set a new challenge for English teachers in senior high school for they are the implementers of the curriculum.The curriculum view held by English teachers directly affects their teaching behaviors.It determines whether English teachers are qualified for reform in senior high school English curriculum and English teaching under the background of NCEE,because teachers' curriculum view also affects their judgement of some theoretical opinions about curriculum and teaching phenomena in specific teaching situations.Therefore,it's quite necessary to study the curriculum view of English teachers in senior high school under the background of NCEE.Based on previous research,this study totally took 120 senior high school English teachers from seven senior high schools in Tianshui as an example.Through the questionnaires and interviews,the current curriculum view of the English teachers in senior high school was investigated and then the variation analyses of different genders,educational backgrounds,ages,teaching ages and professional titles on English teachers' curriculum view in senior high school were carried out.Finally,some countermeasures to solve the current problems were put forward,which is both the cause and the result of this research.According to the analysis of questionnaires and interviews,it is found out that: with reference to curriculum objective view,teachers generally pay too much attention to students' score.Most of them neglect the cultivation of students' ability of listening and speaking,as well as students' ability of thinking.In relation to curriculum content view,more than half of teachers think that English curriculum content was determined by authoritative experts and teaching materials.Only a minority of teachers think the English curriculum content should be set up with the aim of promoting students' comprehensive development.With respect to curriculum implementation view,most of teachers will increase or decrease the content of the textbook and adjust the order of teaching materials according to the needs of students.However,they still show skepticism about some new teaching methods,for instance,stratified teaching and exploratory learning.In curriculum evaluation view,more than half of teachers agree that students should be evaluated comprehensively and fairly,but in real teaching process,students' score is still the main standard of evaluation.In view of this,some suggestions are proposed in this research.In curriculum objective,teachers should pay much attention to the cultivation of students' English key competence,especially in cultivating applied ability and thinking ability of English language.In curriculum content,teachers need to supplement the curriculum content and create good learning environment for improving students' English ability of listening,speaking and thinking.In curriculum implementation,teachers should pay attention to students' learning ability and change the organization of classes,for example,implementing mobile learning system.They can also employ modern technology to broaden the channel of learning and using English for students.In curriculum evaluation,teachers should evaluate students by diversified methods and attach importance to the comprehensive development of students in the aspects of English language competence,thinking mode and learning ability.
