In Senior High School Entrance Examination(Yan Ji),reading test scores increased from 45 in 2016 to 50 in 2017,accounting for about 42percent of the whole test.It can be seen that reading test plays an important role in English test.Therefore,we should pay attention to the backwash of English reading comprehension test on English reading teaching.In order to know the junior middle school English teachers'current understanding of the new curriculum standard,and the influence degree of English reading test on teaching content,teaching method,teaching progress,teaching concept and teaching evaluation.The paper mainly solves the following two problems:1)the views of junior middle English teachers to the English reading ability in new curriculum standards.2)the backwash of English reading test on teaching content,teaching method,teaching progress,teaching concept and teaching evaluation.The study collected data through questionnaires and interviews.The questionnaire survey used SPSS19.0 statistical software to carry out correlation analysis of mean value,standard deviation,paired sample T test,Pearson correlation coefficient and independent sample T test.At the mean time,the interview results were used to supplement.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:1)Most junior middle school teachers do not really know the standard content of English new curriculum.2)The English reading test in the middle school examination has a great washback on teacher' s selection of English extracurricular materials.3)There are significant differences in classroom activities and language between junior and senior grades.4)The teaching English reading in the third grade will be adjusted for the entrance examination,but it will not reduce the teaching time of English reading in the textbook.5)Teachers believe that the goal of English reading teaching is to help students get high marks in English reading tests.6)Most teachers evaluate students'English reading ability mainly by their examination results.Moreover,the question types of usual tests are based on the English reading test.Based on the above results,the author gives the following suggestions:1)Middle schools should train on the understanding of new curriculum standards.Let teachers clearly know about new curriculum standards.2)Teachers should pay attention to the cultivation of students'extracurricular reading at any stage.3)Teacher should reasonably arrange teaching content and steps and organize various kinds of class activities.Teachers should not reduce the use of English as a classroom language.On the other hand,teachers should constantly improve their English language literacy.4)Toenable students to developcomprehensively,teachers shouldn't neglect other skills.5)Teachers should pay-attention to test item diversity and expand training of question syles.6)Teachers should teach in accordance with the requirements of the new curriculum standards.In particular,it is necessary to avoid the use of excessive assignments tactic.
