As a typical representative of Chinese culture,Dunhuang frescoes are the product of multiculturalism collision,with rich cultural background and aesthetic characteristics of the times.The early Dunhuang murals from Beiliang to the Northern Zhou Dynasty showed the artistic features of frankness,simplicity and freedom.The decorative language not only has the charm of the Western region,but also the style of the Han painting.The main research methods of this paper are image analysis and questionnaire analysis.Firstly,through the analysis of the modeling techniques and color language of the Dunhuang early murals,the artistic aesthetic characteristics of the Dunhuang early murals are summarized.Through the questionnaire,the cognition and preference of the early Dunhuang frescoes among the public,especially the modern young people,were analyzed,which provided the data support for the design.Then,by using the practical method,the early decorative language of Dunhuang was closely combined with the modern graphic design,and then integrated into people's life,forming a distinctive modern design system with Chinese traditional cultural characteristics.
