Comparison is a significant semantic category in all human languages and comparative sentence is an indispensable sentence pattern no matter in written language or in communicative language, therefore there are numerous researches on comparative sentence especially degree comparative sentence at all times in all over the world.Linguists have ever made deep and systemic study on Chinese comparative sentence from the perspective of syntax and semantic, however, the research on comparative sentence in Tujia language is not comprehensive, which is confined to a certain type of comparative sentence.Tujia language is a ffected by Chinese to a great extent with the development of history.Nevertheless, some comparative sentences in Tujia language still reserve their national features and have their special expressions. This thesis is based on the distinct classification of comparative sentence in Ma Shi Wen Tong, which divides the comparative sentence into three types accordi ng to semantic:equi-comparative sentence, degree comparative sentence and superlative comparative sentence. What's more, comparative sentence is further divided into affirmative comparative sentence and negative comparative sentence.Abundant special comparative examples in Tujia language are listed in this thesis and contrastive analysis approach is used to demonstrate the special sentence patterns of Tujia language, different constructions and morphological markers between comparative sentences in Chinese and Tujia language.By analyzing and demonstrating,it can be concluded that the differences between the comparative sentences in Chinese and Tujia language lie in the comparative marker, word order and the usage of auxiliary word.Equi-comparative sentence in Tujia language is basically similar to Chinese, which uses the adjective ta55tse21????or la21le21????to express the uniformity between the comparative subject and the comparative standard. As to superlative comparative sentence in Tujia language, the borrowing Chinese word tsui35???or the superlative form of adjective can be used to convey the superlative meaning.Degree comparative sentence in Tujia language has its own special expression, that is to say,the comparative standard lies in front of the comparative subject. If bi construction is used, then the word order is the same as Chinese but the unique comparative marker in Tujia la nguage should be used at the end of the sentence in both of these two constructions.Negative degree comparative sentence is also different from Chinese. The negative word should be put at the end of the sentence instead of lying between the comparative su bject and the comparative standard. The comprehensive study and the deep analysis on comparative sentences in Tujia language not only play a vital role in protecting the minority language but also have some referential significance for other languages.
