Knowledge Materialism And "The University Entrance Exam Narrative" In New Period Literature (1977-1985)

The lack of books and knowledge in "cultural revolution",let the youth to have a psychological pilgrimage to "knowledge".Since the college entrance examination resumed in 1977,youth’s view of "knowledge"goes from "Knowledge Worship" to "Knowledge Materialism".With the help of the college entrance examination,"knowledge" is more at the level of the "device" and becomes a tool for achieving various purposes.Of course,some people still follow the footsteps of knowledge to pursue the light of truth,but this "Materialism" complex is becoming more and more intense.It can be said that "The University Entrance Exam Narrative" after the mid-1980s can be traced back to this.This article is based on this to explore the phenomenon of "Knowledge Materialism" in"The University Entrance Exam Narrative"(1977—1985)in new period literature.That is,power worship,hero complex,and women’s unique romantic.The first chapter is about the power worship behind the rural male college entrance examination.By solving the problem of "eating" through the college entrance examination,it implies the economic and political discourse behind the rural hunger narration.By completing the transformation of the identity of "farmers" and "civil servants",it exposes the opposition between urban and rural dual system and "city" and"township".By taking on the continuity and renewal of the family,it highlights the family rights of the rural society.The second chapter is about the hero complex.By returning to the city,the disillusionment of labor worship and political utopia is revealed.By breaking the "divide theory",the "second-class citizen" can be turned over,accompanied by anxiety about identity and self-identity.By opening second life,renew the song of youth,and full of heroism.The third chapter is about the women’s unique romantic.Under the influence of literature works,through the college entrance examination to"escape",escape from the seclusion of the living space,the female self-consciousness that has been concealed.When seeking the marriage of the "suitable" marriage,the stage is played by a young master or a miss.By the pursuit of the "knowledge + beauty" type of love,imitate"hero + beauty" and "revolution + love" the love pattern.Compared with the western "love my teacher,but I love truth more",the "Knowledge Materialism" in China makes people think deeply.Through "The University Entrance Exam Narrative" to care for the present "college entrance examination","knowledge" and "intellectual community",is also the meaning of this article.
