Xu Xiaobin is a distinctive woman writer, whose independent character has made her excluded from the mainstream social discourse for a long time, but she never changed the heart of exploration for human nature and spiritual world. Its representative work,"An investigation into a psychotic patient",has received the attention of Norman Hollander,an American psychoanalysis, and was considered as the earliest psychoanalysis novel in China. Moreover, some of the Xu Xiaobin's work have been translated into English,French,German,Italian,Japanese and other more than ten languages, and have been issued overseas. The creations of Xu Xiaobin were all inclusive, novel and full of changes. She is good at absorbing and drawing lessons from western literature and its theory, and her productions are not only profound and artistic, but also reflect the reality of influences of western psychology on Chinese literature since the new period in literary creation.Carl Jung and his analytical psychology, along with two "Freud fever" in China, had an important impact on both the psychology and the humanities in our country. It was differentiated from Freudian psychoanalytic school and took collective unconscious as the core, becoming a deep psychology or mind shaping science.Whether from Xu Xiaobin's own speech or specific creation,it can be found that her thinking model and aesthetic pursuit are similar to that of Carl Jung.Xu Xiaobin explained the main content of prototype theory of Jungian Analytical Psychology in "The role conflict between 'Anima' and'Animus'",collected in "The corpus of Xu Xiaobin:Broken dreams"published in 1998,and affirmed its authority. However, this article has been collected again after nearly twenty years in Xu Xiaobin's prose collection "Life likes summer flowers",Published in 2016,which is sufficient to show the special significance and influence of Jungian Analytical Psychology on her writings. This point has been mentioned by Xu Xiaobin in "Purgatory gate","Born in Beijing","Different fireworks",etc.Due to her studies in many cases, she believed that Carl Jung's theory is absolutely established. In Xu Xiaobin's work "My escape is an eternal life" she also mentioned Carl Jung's theory of persona, which became a secret weapon she used to successfully escape from the outside world and accompanied her through many difficulties and hardships. In fact, the greatest contribution of Jungian Analytical Psychology is the "collective unconscious",which is the historical experience of human race, mental sediment of the human evolution for millions of years, and primitive traces from human succession. This is the biggest difference between Jungian Analytical Psychology and Freud's psychoanalysis.'Anima' and"Animus",or "Persona" and "Shadow" all constitute the main content of Carl Jung's prototype theory.Since Xu Xiaobin has shown a strong support for these theories,we have good reasons to believe that the influence of Jungian Analytical Psychology on Xu Xiaobin's novel needs further systematic studies. This thesis consists of three parts. The first part is introduction, which summarizes the presentation of the topic and the significance of the study, and analyzes the relevant researches at home and abroad. The innovations and research methods are also explained in this part, laying the foundation for following discussion. The second part is the main text, which is divided into six chapters.Chapter One mainly analyzes the reasons for Xu Xiaobin's acceptance of Jungian Analytical Psychology, namely the foundation of reception, including dreamlike life experience and soul-agitating reading standard.Based on Xu Xiaobin's identification of Jungian Analytical Psychology,Chapter Two to Five, taking Xu Xiaobin's novels as analysis objects, tries to analyze the integration and conversion of those as detail as possible from four aspects, ideological theme, storylines, characters and artistic pursuit.Chapter Six mainly discusses the variation in the process of Xu Xiaobin's acceptance of Jungian Analytical Psychology.Because of the differences in cultural tradition, social environment and aesthetic habits,Xu Xiaobin inevitably screen, deform,or even transform and innovate the Jungian Analytical Psychology. Thus, different understandings have been produced, manifested in excessive emphasis on shadow glamor and simple presentation of primitive mind. The last five chapters are the focus of this article and the essence of the impact. The third part is the conclusion, the summary and sublimation of the whole thesis. The significance and limitations in the process of Xu Xiaobin's acceptance are summarized in this part.? believe that with the continuing influence of analytical psychology,Xu Xiaobin will create more new and intriguing works in the future.
