Study On Ancient Bridge In Beijing Section Of The Grande Canale

The Grand Canal heritage has a rich variety of elements and has played an important role in the development of the Grand Canal.As one of the constituent elements of the Grand Canal heritage,the ancient bridge not only facilitates the transportation of goods and people's travel during the development of the canal,but also remains traffic function now.The religious beliefs,traditional folklore,literature and art related to the ancient canal bridge produced during the development of the Grand Canal are all important embodiments of the canal culture.Therefore,the ancient bridge of the canal is an important window for the display of the Grand Canal culture,and the research for the ancient bridge of the canal is conducive to the inheritance,development,and dissemination of the Grand Canal culture.This paper first sorts out the types of ancient bridges on the Grand Canal,and analyzes the layout of ancient bridges on the Grand Canal.Then through the literature review and on-site field surveys,the types and distribution of ancient bridges in Beijing section of the Grand Canal were analyzed.Then it analyzes the existing relationship between the ancient bridge and the canal and the space environment of the Grand Canal in the Beijing section of the Grand Canal,and defines the relationship between the ancient bridge and the religious beliefs,business activities and urban construction in the Beijing section of the Grand Canal.Finally,through the study of the construction characteristics of the ancient bridge in Beijing section of the Grand Canal,its value in technology and arts is discussed.As the terminal city of the Grand Canal,Beijing played a decisive role in the development history of the Grand Canal.The study of the ancient bridges in the Beijing area can contribute to the protection of the ancient bridge heritage and promote the culture inheritance and development of the Grand Canal.
