The Research On Composition And Protection Of Jining Section Of The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Cultural Heritage

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is an outstanding water project in the history of our country, it is also the oldest, the largest and longest man-made canal in the world. In the long history of development, The grand canal recorded in ancient China the politics, economy, culture, science technology and so on various aspects of the historical information, produced a colorful canal culture, formed species diversity and large number of cultural heritages.Jining is an important canal city along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the grand canal runs through the whole territory of Jining, total length is230kilometers, along the canal produced rich cultural heritages. Now, with applying for world heritage, canal heritage has attracted more and more attention. In this background, this paper takes the Jining section of the canal heritage as the research subject, using the method of combination of literature study and field investigation, from the following several aspects to systematically carding and research the composition and protection of the Jining section of the canal cultural heritage:First of all, this paper from the history of the canal, the effect of canal to coastal areas, the canal culture, the protection of canal heritage and the canal tourism development these five aspects to summarizes and analyzes the current situation of the research, according to the current existing problems and blank, determine the subject of the article; Secondly, using the history knowledge and methods, inductive the historical changes of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Jining section of the canal, at the same time analyzed the special status of the Jining section of the canal, lays the foundation for further study of cultural heritage; Thirdly, from the formation of Jining canal culture, the features of Jining section canal heritage and the values of Jining section canal heritage these three aspects to elaborated the overall content of Jining section of the canal cultural heritage; Then, according to the classification of the canal heritage, from the canal water conservancy engineering heritage, the canal settlement heritage, the material culture heritage which associated with the canal history and the non-material cultural heritage which reflect people’s life along the canal these four aspects to described the Jining section of the canal heritage; Finally, under the background of the Grand Canal declared world heritage, summarizes the current protection situation of Jining section of the canal heritage, analysis of the opportunities and challenges of the current protection of the canal cultural heritage. On this basis, put forward the protection strategy, in order to be conducive to the protection and inheritance of the Jining section of the canal cultural heritage.This paper takes single canal city as research object, focus on the composition and protection of the Jining section of the canal cultural heritage, on the one hand, to help carry out the protection work of the canal heritage, achieve the inheritance and development of the canal culture; on the other hand, contribute to the grand canal declared world heritage of success at an early date, to improve the cultural status of the canal heritage.
