This thesis is a report based on the consecutive interpreting practice in 2017 Liaoning Investment and Trade Fair.It analyzes problems like incomplete sentences and insufficient information, implicit information, and high-density and redundant information the author encountered during the interpreting process, introduces reformulation strategies the author adopted like information supplements, conveying the real intentions of the speakers and information extractions, and embodies the principle that interpreting is the conveying of schemata.Due to the routinization of business interpreting, the author got familiar with the expectations of the clients and the procedure of the meetings, thus the schemata of background knowledge could exert their help and helped the author to correctly understand the source language.According to schemata theory, interpreting is the conveying of schemata. And the verbal discourses don't contain information themselves. They only enable the listeners to extract information from their background knowledge schemata and figure out the meanings. So when the literal form of the source language cannot convey the schemata behind it,interpreters should adopt reformulation strategies to change the form of language according to the different cognition of the two parties, enabling it to activate the audiences' schemata same with the speakers'.The communicativeness of business interpreting requires interpreters to understand the schemata of both sides and adjust the output information to make them understand each other and promote the smooth meetings. This thesis elaborates reformulation strategies the author took and their significance with schemata theory and the examples.
