Research On Visualization Of The Piano Performance Recordings

This research aims to discuss and reflect on several issues regarding the perform styles of pianists as well as the performances of the piano musical works,by applying the existing music parameters of visualization technology at home and aboard to extract and analyze the musical elements such as rhythms,tempos,dynamic and timbres from piano musical works and performance recordings.The Piano performance recordings are important objects to study in piano performances and teaching researches.The characteristics of different recordings are the basic indicators to evaluate the perform styles of different pianists.And to study the details in piano performance recordings can help us distinguish the differences and recognize the connections between the music scores and practical performances.In this thesis,the author conducts an empirical study on the characteristics of piano performance recordings based on related researches of parametric visualizations of music performances and acoustic theories in related regimes,with the help of data analysis methods of music visualizations.This research makes a preliminary exploration of the practical mode of the visualization technologies in study of the piano performance recordings and discuss the feasibilities and importance of visualizing methods in piano performances as well as in piano teaching researches.
