The Research Of Folk Belief Based On "Xian Sheng"

The folk belief based on "Xiansheng" is a popular belief form in the vast rural areas of Xinyang.It has certain regional uniqueness.This paper adopts the methods of field investigation on the folk belief based on "Xiansheng" in Licun of Xinyang,as to show a living picture of folk belief of the area in the south of Henan.The thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which briefly explains the origin of the topic selection,research design and the definition of related concepts,and reviews and summarizes of the academic research related to this topic.The second chapter is a cognitive description of "Mr." and his beliefs.A vivid"Xiansheng" role is displayed in the perspective of different groups.The third chapter analyzes the role of "Xiansheng" and its influencing factors,mainly from four aspects:deep-rooted traditional factors,the objective needs of the masses,the choice of"Xiansheng" themselves and other related factors.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the practice process of "Xiansheng",and makes a deep description of the practice process of "Xiansheng" from three aspects:practice space,practice tool and practice process.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the characteristics of "Xiansheng" and its belief.The folk beliefs in Licun of Xinyang show the characteristics of authority,disenchantment,reciprocity and harmlessness.Through the above several parts of the argument the sixth chapter,the author draws the conclusion that the folk belief of"Xiansheng" is the knowledge of daily life of people in Licun of Xinyang,and the miraculous response of "Xiansheng" is constructed between the interaction of different participants,different person or group plays a different role.As a core figure in this folk belief,correctly understanding the role of "Xiansheng" and their beliefs is important in guiding the development of folk beliefs towards a healthier and positive direction.
