A Practice Report On E-C Translation Of Technical Document Of Water Treatment For India BHILAI Steel Plant

The translation materials used in the translation practice report are selected from the part of the water treatment technology document of the India BHILAI steel plant.With the increasingly close contact between China and the rest of the world,there is more and more communication at the technical level.The demand for translation of technical texts is increasing.Translation of technical documents directly relates to whether the proprietor makes related operations by rule and line and avoid a series of major accidents,such as failure of equipment caused by improper operation.The practice report is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction of the translation task from three aspects,namely the task background,nature and task requirements of the client.The second part describes in detail from three aspects of translation process,namely the preparation before translation,translation and post translation matters.The third part is the case analysis,the writer first analyses the selection of translation strategies,and then analyzing the syntactic features and the translation of words,sentences and paragraphs characteristics.The last part,the writer makes a brief summary of the translation task.This report focuses on some problems that should be paid attention to the translator in the translation project of technical documents,so that the translator knows how to ensure the quality of translation through the translation preparation and process management;how to achieve accuracy,readability,and communicative function through subdivision text type and language conversion techniques and how to carry out the translator's sense of responsibility and consciousness of communication.In addition.The translator has not only been able to have a solid foundation of language,but also has the ability to translate the two languages proficiently between English and Chinese with relevant professional knowledge.The writer hopes to provide some references for the translation of technical text through this translation practice,and to promote the better exchange of technology between China and foreign countries.
