Since the beginning of the Opium War,the countless people with lofty ideals of the Chinese nation have never stopped exploring the road to national rejuvenation.Especially at the beginning of China's modern history, some outstanding Chinese sons and daughters can rush out of the shackles of feudal morality, dare to “look at the world,” look around the world, and speak for the destiny of the Chinese nation, making it the strongest voice of the era.Yan Fu is one of the important representatives.Yan Fu,who was born in the early days of the late Qing Dynasty, has experienced the main process of becoming a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society in his entire life.Yan Fu studied in England in his early years and experienced the huge gap between the development of China and the West. This made him have a higher level understanding of the reasons for the status quo of poverty and weakness in China in the late Qing Dynasty. He explored the path of salvation and survival. The ideology goes beyond the level of feudal scholars' concept of objects and systems, and rises to the criticism of feudal morality. This was commendable in the social environment at that time. This article uses the viewpoint of historical materialism to place Yan Fu in the social environment in which he lives to study his moral ideas. The research of the article starts from the background of the time, the source of ideology and the source of practice of Yan Fu's moral ideology.Through consulting a large amount of literature and materials, the author focuses on Yan Fu's monograph and translation, and then sums up “breaking” and “establishing” in Yan Fu's moral ideology..Among them, the "breaking" in Yan Fu's moral ideology mainly includes three aspects: The first is the critique of feudal education, that is,eight-member confessionals. The second is the criticism of the ethic of the feudal society, and the third is the critique of the traditional belief in the Confucianist belief in justice and benefit. After breaking up,Yan Fu put forward his own moral ideology on the basis of careful examination of the national conditions and public sentiments of the society at that time and put forward his criticism of feudal education and the feudal program.Yan Fu stressed that "democratic people, open people's wisdom, and new people's morality." In terms of national governance,Yan Fu advocated abandoning the feudal autonomy and profound understanding of the dialectical relationship between "national freedom" and "little freedom" and building a new type of national governance system. In the concept of justice and benefit,Yan Fu emphasizes the positive role of personal interests in life, and promotes the concept of “altruism” and “self-interest”.The article eventually settled on the evaluation of Yan Fu's moral ideology.Yan Fu's moral ideology has the historical significance of ignoring the shortcomings and the practical significance of alerting the future generations. However,Yan Fu,as a member of the socialist bourgeoisie of the late Qing Dynasty, could not escape the ambiguity of his historical period and class, with certain historical limitations and class limitations. He advocated reform but did not advocate the armed revolution. He vigorously advocated the ethical morality of the bourgeoisie but did not fully explore the rational elements in the traditional Chinese moral concepts. As a result, his moral ideology has "congenital design flaws" in its construction. The article takes Yan Fu's moral ideology as the research object, and mainly elaborates it in five parts: The first part mainly discusses the basis for the topic selection and the research status at home and abroad.Studying Yan Fu's moral ideology helps morality itself to absorb and reconstruct the Chinese traditional morality on the basis of absorbing the western good moral ideology and achieve the purpose of innovation;it helps to realize “the people have a new historical period”.Belief, the state has power, and the nation has hope "The requirements of socialist ideological and moral construction. The second part mainly discusses the background and origin of Yan Fu's moral thought. In the historical era of Yan Fu's historical situation, the national disaster of the Chinese nation became increasingly heavy and gradually became a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. The failure of the Sino-Japanese War to bankrupt along with the Westernization Movement also included the “observation view” of the Westernization Movement. It is here that Under the background of this era,Yan Fu was inspired to think deeply about China in the late Qing Dynasty. The experience of studying abroad in the West and the effectiveness of the MaweiShipbuilding has led to the formation of its own moral system based on the criticism of traditional Chinese morality and the “object concept” of the Westernization School. The third part mainly discusses the "breaking" in Yan Fu's moral ideology. He believes that the feudal tradition education has "bad spirits, wisdom, and nourishment" and the Confucian concept of justice and benefit does not highlight personal interests. This is the cause of weakness; The ethics of the feudal society limits the freedom of the people and is not conducive to the construction of an advanced national governance system. The fourth part mainly discusses the main content of Yan Fu's moral ideology, that is,the composition of Yan Fu's moral ideology, and Yan Fu's promotion of new moral values based on western learning, and the social ethic concept of “material competition and victory” as the core. The concept of self-interest that freedom is not more than a concept, and the concept of righteousness and benefit that aims at "benefiting others".These are all important parts of Yan Fu's moral ideology. The fifth part is mainly about the evaluation of Yan Fu's moral ideology.Although Yan Fu himself and his moral thoughts have certain historical limitations and class limitations, they have certain reference significance in ancient times.
