On Gong Lina's "New Art Music"

Singer Gong Lina began to truly enter the public's field of vision after she successfully performed the "TanTe" in 2010.In fact,she has been studying for seven years under Professor Zou Wenqin of the Chinese Conservatory of Music since 1995.In 1999,she was awarded the title of "Folk Singer No.1" by the Ministry of Culture of China.She is a typical academical singer.After graduation,she was admitted to the Central National Orchestra as a soloist,but when her career was at its peak,she chose to give up her bright future and try to explore her own music style.After breaking through the shackles of the"academic school",Gong Lina took root in the folk and went to various places to learn authentic folk songs.Constantly studying the traditional Chinese opera,in addition to mastering the different vocalization methods of opera,as well as mastering the singing characteristics of different kinds of plays,Gong Lina blended the different skills she had learned to form her own unique style.Thus she developed the ability of "one person thousand sound".Gong and her German husband,Lao Luo,have been exploring the road to "New Art Music",regardless of their unique aspects of singing ideas,singing skills,performing forms,vocalizing skills,musical attitudes,handling and grasping music works,and so on.Their innovation and breakthrough in Chinese national vocal music,have in-depth research value.This paper probes into Gong Lina's exploration of "New Art Music",combs its contribution and efforts to Chinese national vocal music,and draws lessons from the inheritance and development of Chinese national vocal music.In order to arouse the majority of vocal music learners to pay attention to and reflect on the existing problems of Chinese national vocal music,and explore the future development of Chinese national vocal music through Gong Lina and "New Art Music".
