The game of Liu Bo was a kind of betting games following the fixed chess lines("LTV" lines)and the order of the cycle of 60 years,which prevailed from the Warring States period to the Qin and Han dynasties.The study of the game of Liu Bo has become a hot topic in archaeological research.From the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties,the Liu Bo checkerboard can be divided into two major categories based on its function: the first type has both functions of divining and playing,while the second only has the function of playing.By conducting typological study of the different “LTV” lines of checkerboard,the forms of Liu Bo checkerboard are divided into four periods and five sections from the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties.Different forms of the Liu Bo chessboard were summarized,as well as the development rules of the “LTV” lines during different periods.At the same time,combined with literature data,the playing rules of Liu Bo game are restored.As a popular competitive entertainment tool from the Warring States period to the Qin and Han dynasties,the game of Liu Bo can not only make people feel physically and mentally happy,but also enrich people's leisure life,and the game of Liu Bo fits Taoist divination and the yin-yang ethical thoughts.Winning the Liu Bo game is random,unpredictable as the randomness of rolling dice,therefore,it has become a popular gambling instrument in the Warring States period to the Qin and Han dynasties.
