Study On The Art Of The Stone Funerary Utensils Of The Sogdians In China From The Northern Dynasty To The Sui And Tang Dynasties

The history of the cultural exchange between the East and the West on the Silk Road is an important part of the history of art.Cultural exchanges bring about the continuous collision and integration of the political economy,religious thought,artistic culture,and production technology of various nationalities.The existence of the Sogdians as a medium played an inestimable role in this process.During the Northern Dynasty to the Sui and Tang dynasties,it is a climax in the history of art exchange between China's central plains civilization and central Asian civilization.A large number of Hu people,including the Sogdians,came to China along the Silk Road and settled down,even married to the Han nationality,and their descendants stayed in China and merged into the Huaxia Land.With the discovery of stone funerary utensils in China,its rich image content is of great significance for us to study the religion,culture and belief of the Sogdians.This article is more from the point of view of art history,pay more attention to the manufacturing process and technology of stone burial tools in China,and then analyze the image composition,artistic characteristics,motif connotation for a simple discussion.Then it discusses the appearance of their home life and the influence of the foreign nationalities such as Sui and Tang dynasties on the changes of the style of the Northern dynasties Sui and Tang dynasties.In the second chapter,introduces the definition and classification of stone funerary utensils,and makes a conjecture and analysis on the making technology and procedure of stone funerary utensils,and probes into the right of use of stone funerary utensils at that time.The life history of several stone burial objects found in China is briefly introduced.In the third chapter,the paper analyzes the characteristics of the modeling art of the stone funerary utensils of the Sogdians in China.In the fourth chapter,the image content and artistic style are analyzed in detail.In the fifth chapter,the author analyzes the image content and artistic style of the stone funerary utensils.Chapter five analyzes the image motif of the stone funerary utensils in China,and probes into the religious and cultural connotations behind it.This paper restores the life of the Sogdians after entering China,probes into the changes in the posture and theway in which people used their beds in the Middle Ancient period,and further analyzes the development process and reasons of the Chinese furniture.And the Silk Road cultural exchange on the Han culture of the Central Plains.
