Since twenty century to now, a lot of migrate sogdians tombs medieval China were discovered in some old important towns and the political, cultural centers along Silk Road. These tombs in funerary Rite not only the native original institutions but also change of do in Rome as Rome does. Based on these migrate sogdians tombs and unearthed relic objects and the stone funerary utensils loss at home and abroad,combined with the historical documents and religious texts and the study of scholars,the thesis trying to give a discussion about funerary Rite and religion belief shows in these tombs.The study include the following five aspects:Firstly,to introduce the archaeological discoveries in migrate sogdians tombs medieval China.According to the from early to late and from west to east,discussing the current founded the Sogdians tombs in China.Outline of the distribution of these tombs in the silk road,and detailed introduction the newly discovered in recent years and some of the suspected sogdians tombsSecondly,discussion of the tombs construction system.to analysis the typological of tombs,these tombs have accepted the tombs construction system in China,and have a considerable consistency with the local tombs,but some tombs have their particularity showed correlation with sogdian culture.Thirdly,to analysis funerary objects show national culture.the following questions will be discussed respectively:From stone funerary utensils type and line engraved image of migrate sogdians tombs in the late Northern Dynasties can be seen the origin of the Northern Wei Dynasty tomb culture; from the Turpan area of Kang’s family cemetery the painted lotus pottery and epitaphs, display after a number of generations of migration, to Tang Dynasty, Turpan area of Sogdian naturalized compiled into local people, some in place as junior officers, generally Buddhist faith and highly recognized in the Chinese culture; Sui and Tang tombs in Ningxia the gold headwear and Anpu tomb Hu figurines, mouths or holding foreign gold and silver coins is Sogdian immigration for their own culture, and religious beliefs of the way of self expressing.Fourthly, to summarize the Sogdian tombs distribution and relationship with residence in the Northern Zhou Dynasty and Tang Dynasty in Chang’an area. Sogdian tombs distribution have gradually expanded. With the bureaucratic residence have transferred from west of ZhuQue(rosefinch) to the east of street, in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, senior tombs increased in east of Chang’an city. Residence and tombs of sogdian in the Chang’an area is also showing this trend.Lastly, Based on the above discussion,to analyze the change on funerary rite of migrate sogdians from sogdian area to China, mainly related to body treatment and select on funerary utensils and cut face.thenI will discuss funerary rite images and fire alter and the priest image in the stone funerary utensils and so on,these pictures come from Zoroastrianism culture.By the above observation, It is shown to adapt and persist on funerary Rite and religion belief of migrate sogdians about China culture and their own culture in the assimilation process, It will also help us more deeply understanding multicultural interaction and fusion of migrate sogdians medieval China.
