In a variety of complex antagonism sports situations, athletes need to make decisions quickly in a very short time. And the emotion and time pressure become the factor that could not be ignored in decision-making.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to verify the influence of emotion, especially neutral emotion on decision making in sports context. On this basis,we further explore the influence of emotion on Sports decision-making under the circumstances of time pressure.A total of 3 studies were included in this study.Study 1 adapted single factor(emotion: positive emotion, neutral mood and negative emotion)design to explore the decision-making performance(initial option quality, average quality of the options)and dynamic inconsistency of basketball non-professional athletes in different emotional states. The results showed that participants' initial quality and average quality of option options in the neutral emotion are significantly better than that they are in negative emotion and positive emotion. The quality of initial options in negative emotions is significantly better than that in positive emotions, but there is no significant difference in the average quality of options between negative and positive emotions. And dynamic inconsistency had no significant difference among three emotional state.Study 2 shorten the interval time and the decision making time, adapted a 3(with emotion: positive emotion and neutral emotion, negative emotion)× 2(athlete level: Non-professional,professional)mixed experimental design to improve the ecological validity by the use of "expert-proficient" paradigm, again exploring the emotion on decision-making performance in basketball(initial quality, average quality of options, dynamic inconsistency). The results showed that in the context of time pressure, the initial option quality and the average quality of non-professional athletes in positive emotions significantly lower than that in negative emotion and neutral emotion. The quality in negative emotion and neutral emotion had no significant difference. The dynamic inconsistency among three emotions had no difference. In the time pressure situation, the influence of emotion on professional athletes' decision-making performance is similar to that of non professional athletes in Study 1.There is interaction between athletes' level and emotional type in initial options quality and option average quality.Professional athletes may have ceiling effect in this time situation. For the integration of research results,Study 3 compare the data of the study 2 and study 1,found that time pressure polarized the emotion on decision performance. The decision performance under positive emotion in time pressure context is worse than that without time pressure, and the decision performance under negative mood is better than that in no time pressure context. The interaction between time pressure and emotional type is significant. To sum up,emotion has an influence on decision-making performance in basketball, and time pressure polarize the influence of emotion on decision-making.In no time pressure context, the performance in neutral emotion is the best;and in time pressure context, the performance in negative emotion and neutral emotion is significantly better than that in positive emotion;the performance in negative emotion is slightly better than that in neutral emotion, although there is no significant difference.
