This article mainly was on the basis of referring to the theory of game teaching abroad and in China.It focused on the application of games in primary school English classroom teaching,and enriched the application theory of games in primary school English classroom teaching,and demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the game teaching practice.It was thought that primary school English teachers can draw lessons from this research in practical teaching and provides useful reference for them to carry out game teaching in primary school English class.This study adopted the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and informal discussion,and makes a preliminary research on the concept,characteristics and principles of primary school English games.This article studied the process,application types and steps of primary school English game teaching.Combining with classroom examples.It put forward some suggestions for the game teaching in primary school English classroom.The article first introduced the background of the study,the status of the research in China and abroad,the purpose,significance,ideas and methods of the study.It summarized the related theories involved in the study.It expounded the theoretical basis of this study.It defined the related concepts of the game teaching method,analyzed the characteristics and types of the game teaching-It designed principles and types of the game-teaching.When the method was applied,this article discussed and demonstrated the application types and steps of games in primary school English teaching.Finally,according to the application of games in primary school English teaching,the following conclusions were drawn:Game teaching can effectively stimulate students' interest in learning English;Game teaching can effectively improve the learning ability and achievement of learning English;Game teaching enhances students' confidence in learning English and stimulates the enthusiasm of students to participate in the teaching.So game teaching method has more advantages than traditional teaching method.This research is a practical research on English game teaching in primary schools,aiming at the realistic problems of primary school English education,trying to improve the quality of primary school English classroom teaching.The use of game method in primary school English classroom teaching will improve the quality of teaching effectively,and it has great prospects for development.
