Under the background of economic globalization and cultural diversity,under the guidance of the new curriculum reform,it is an inevitable teaching trend to change the traditional teaching mode,carry out primary school English education in a way more in line with students' own characteristics,stimulate students' interest in learning and improve students' Comprehensive English quality.The game teaching method has been attached great importance to by the majority of teachers.The game teaching method integrates the game into the teaching,drives the students' learning motivation,alleviates the dull and boring teaching atmosphere,and improves the effectiveness of classroom teaching.However,there are still some problems when primary school teachers apply the game teaching method to the actual teaching process,resulting in the actual effect of the game teaching method has not been effectively played out.The author hopes that through the research of this topic,we can put forward practical countermeasures to improve the problem of poor effectiveness,and further enrich the theory of game teaching method.This study selected the third grade of a third primary school in Changchun as the research object.Using literature research method,questionnaire method,interview method,observation method to understand the application of game teaching method in primary school English classroom,and put forward solutions.It is found that the main problems of game teaching in primary English teaching include:The ability of teachers to use the game teaching method is poor,the game design deviates from the teaching goal,the students' classroom participation presents a polarization,the students do not understand the purpose of the game,and theimplementation of the game teaching method is limited by the school conditions.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward some countermeasures,including improving teachers 'ideological understanding and classroom control ability,improving students' participation in games,designing and developing scientific and effective game activities,strengthening classroom management,and mining game teaching resources.After the research,it is found that the game teaching method has been paid attention to by the majority of teachers and welcomed by the students in the primary English classroom,but the implementation of the game teaching method needs the careful design of the teachers and the extensive participation of the students.It is hoped that the strategy proposed in this paper can provide a useful reference for primary English teachers and contribute to the improvement of the effect of game teaching in practical application.
