Since ancient times,China has attached great importance to the ethical and ethical education from the family,so many family instructions have been handed down.The Disciple Gauge,written by the Qing dynasty's Li Yuxiu in accordance with the teachings of the ancient sage.It inherits that the thought of Confucian piety and benevolence,in the words of article six of the thesis,"the disciple inwards,filial piety,the expression of trust,the love of all,and the benevolence of the others,then the extension of the total of the book is the sum of the teaching".This paper introduces Disciple Guage from the political background,economic background,cultural background and ideological origin;From personal accomplishment,family ethics,social ethics and the natural ethics are discussed in four dimensions "disciple gauge" as the basic content of family precepts,and combined with relevant examples of ancient and modern,further explore its inherent moral ethics;This paper explores the three basic characteristics of the Disciple Guage as the theme of family training,the theme of good,the moral education life,the method of education and the limitation of feudal thought.And in ancient and modern two different times' background,correct thinking of misunderstanding Disciple Gauge in modern society which combines Confucianism,era background and its own development,with deep,dialectical,positive thinking to correctly interpret the meaning of Disciple Gauge.Disciple gauge is the precious wealth of the Chinese national spirit civilization and also a master of family precepts.It has the practical strategy and actively provides practical significance to solve the plight of the present social tutoring.
