Habermas's Reconstruction Of Democratic Theoretical Norms

Habermas,a famous German scholar,is the second generation family of the Frankfurt school after hockheimer and adonot,as well as a witness to the transition from early capitalism to late capitalism,and is widely regarded as one of the most influential encyclopedic thinkers of our time.He has always been concerned about the changes of society and the reality of people's lives.The reconstruction of the democratic theory is based on the real world of life and the communication rationality.After World War II,Habermas witnessed changes in capitalist society,which made him pay special attention to the study of democratic theory.Firstly,Habermas analyzed the distorted reality of the public domain of the society from three aspects: family,culture and politics,and pointed out the crisis that society faced.Secondly,he thought deeply about the liberal democracy and Republican democracy,summarized the characteristics of liberalism and Republican respectively and made a comparative study of them.Thirdly,in his 1981 book "the communication behavior theory",Habermas put forward the communication behavior theory,which is the cornerstone of his democratic theory,and put forward his procedural democracy concept on the basis of reflecting on the traditional ideology philosophy and the prevailing instrumental rationality.This paper expounds Habermas 'reconstruction of the validity of procedure in democratic theory,the validity of democratic theory in sociological translation,the legal legitimacy with guarantee,the tension relationship between democratic theory and complex society.It is pointed out that Habermas broke through the bondage of the original ideology philosophy,reflected on the capitalist democratic model prevailing in the present times,and put forward the view of procedural democracy which is guaranteed by law.The establishment of his view of procedural democracy not only represents a breakthrough in thinking about democracy at the political level,but also represents the deepening and expanding of thinking about democracy in the present era and people in this era.Although there are still some problems in his theory,it can not be denied that his reconstruction of the norm of democratic theory has positive significance for the study of democratic theory.
