Study On The Patriotism Of Universities In Mordern Guangxi

From the Opium War erupted in 1840,the Western powers opened the door of China with hard-water cannons.China has been reduced from a feudal society to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal one,and has begun modern history.Compared with the whole country,Guangxi,which is located in the remote areas of China,has experienced a slight social change,and the society has obviously changed to modern times since the Sino-French War.Society is changing,but the traditional concept is unchanging,the difference between reality and cognition causes people to feel confused and at a loss.The traditional view of "world" can not make the nation produce a great cohesive force and centripetal force,to complete the modern pursuit of national independence,people's liberation,to achieve the country's rich and strong,the people's wealth new historical task.Drawing lessons from the myth of the rise of Germany and Japan as a result of higher education,Chinese intellectuals realized the important role of universities in reconstructing Chinese people's "nation" and "nation" consciousness and integrating society.Modern China's higher education came into being at the historic moment,and Guangxi was influenced by the whole nation to produce new-style education,and gradually develop higher education.With the promotion of higher education and other comprehensive factors,patriotism has been transformed from tradition to modern times.After the May 4th Movement,the patriotic education concept with Guangxi local characteristics was formed by drawing lessons from the patriotic education experience of other colleges and universities in China and combining with the actual situation of Guangxi society,the universities in Guangxi developed further.It pushed forward the qualitative leap of Guangxi's modern patriotism.In the early 1930s,when Japan invaded China,ethnic conflicts became the main contradiction.For the sake of national independence,Guangxi's colleges and universities took the initiative to take up the task of actively propagandizing and mobilizing the Anti-Japanese War.The young students of Guangxi University also formed the Guangxi Student Army,bravely went to the Anti-Japanese War,and contributed their own strength to save the country from peril.The action of Guangxi University moved countless people,and the people joined the ranks of the Anti-Japanese War in succession.During the Anti-Japanese War,the national consciousness of Guangxi society was at an all-time high,which promoted the sublimation of modern patriotism.After the war,Guangxi colleges and universities continued to strive for the peaceful and democratic environment of the motherland.Facing the choice of China's destiny,Guangxi's colleges and universities put the national principles in the first place,never forgetting the original intention of seeking a better future for the country.Guangxi colleges and universities made the most conducive to the development prospects of China's choice,so that modern patriotism towards a more rational direction.This paper tries to study the evolution of patriotism in Colleges and universities in Guangxi in different modern times from the perspective of the grand narrative of the state converging at the local level.With a view to showing the development of modem patriotism in Guangxi colleges and universities and its enlightenment.
