The Situation Of Beauty And Human:Criticism Of Wilde In Chinese Contemporary Literature

This paper,based on the criticism of the British aesthete Oscar Wilde in Chinese contemporary literature after 1949,can be divided into three stages which summarizes the criticism and acceptance of wilde's works and literary thoughts by critics of each stage,and summarizes the characteristics of each stage.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper consists of three chapters:(1)The negative of beauty and human: wilde's criticism under the theory of class criticism(1949 ~ 1966);(2)The return of beauty and human: the study of wilde's criticism in the background of Chinese modernist art(1980~1989);(3)The crisis of beauty and human: the study of wilde's criticism in China(From 1990 to now).The three chapters constitute an organic whole,starting from the perspective of "subjectivity",and sorting out the criticism and acceptance of a foreign writer from different periods of time in the new China.In this process,the study of wilde is not only a process of differentiation and digestion of foreign literature,but more importantly,it reflects the inner need of the development of Chinese contemporary literature,namely,the negative,construction and crisis of the literature and literature of beauty in different periods.The first chapter mainly discusses the negative of "beauty and human" literature of wilde in Chinese academic circles in the 17 years after the founding of new China,classifying it as "bourgeois decadent writer",negating its discussion on "the nature of art" and "the relationship between art and life".The second chapter discusses "human" and calling for human nature,human and humanitarian under the background of "modernism" in the 1980 s.construction period,during this period the people's subjectivity academic circles began to objective understanding of Oscar Wilde represents "aestheticism" ideological trend,excludingideological value judgment,to return to work the study of the ideological content and artistic features.This period is construction period of the human's subjectivity,academic circles began to understand the "aestheticism" trend represented by wilde and return to the ideological content and artistic features of his work.The third chapter discusses the study of Wilde which presents a state of the contradiction between modern and post-modern intertwined with the development of modernization,marketization footsteps.From the theory of consumer society,some scholars have eliminated the slogan of "art for art" and "realization of personal value".Some scholars also continue to insist on the "beauty and human" thought constructed by wilde.
