The Study Of Habermas’s Reconstruction On Historical Materialism

Habermas is the most important representative figure of the second generation of the Frankfurt School,and the reconstruction on historical materialism is the top idea of his theoretical system.In recent years,the exploration on Habermas’ s reconstruction on historical materialism mainly begins with the comparison with Marx’s historical materialism,but it is not thorough in the thinking arrangements of the reconstruction theory and the comprehensive consideration on the background of the theory generation.Here,this paper focuses on these parts,taking standpoint of Marx’s historical materialism as the standard to measure his theoretical value,to study on Habermas’ s reconstruction on historical materialism.First of all,this article collated the lines of Habermas’ s theoretical formation from the realistic background and his knowledge background,aiming to introduce the original intention of Habermas’ s reconstruction on historical materialism and the theoretical foundation of reconstruction on historical materialism.Secondly,as the focus of this paper,the article mainly carries out related discussions on research methods and the general idea of its formation.In this part,we not only comb out the logic and content of his theory,but also compare the basic concepts of Marx’s historical materialism with Habermas’ s theory.Finally,in view of that the theoretical content of reconstruction on historical materialism is based on Marx’s historical materialism,this paper objectively evaluates Habermas’ s theory of reconstruction on historical materialism and forms a correct and comprehensive understanding of his theory.Combined with the reality of China,it briefly discusses the application significance of the theory in China.Through the study of Habermas’ s reconstruction of historical materialism,on one hand,it helps to make a correct understanding of his thoughts,on the other hand,we hope to provide a new clue and perspective to its study.
