With the successful hosting of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games and the coming of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games,more and more large-scale sports events are being held in our country.Sports,from a recreational activity,has become the most important part of life and work in contemporary life.People often get domestic and international sports information from various channels.Therefore,the translation of sports reports becomes important.Basketball originated in Massachusetts,United States.It was invented by Dr.Naismith.After more than 100 years of development,and the emergence of superstars such as Michael Jordan,Kobe Bryant and Yao Ming,this sport has been widely respected around the world.This thesis choose text Warriors: From one-dimensional and one-and-done to NBA title favorites from basketball section of Sports Illustrated,which describe how Warriors gets close to the championship step by step from bottom in NBA.Sports narrative text translation lacks in studies.It is still in its infancy and it has posed problems at different levels due to various factors.This text contains many sports jargons which are hard to find specific meanings in today's foreign language dictionary.It has also caused a great deal of trouble for the reading and translation of ordinary readers.This paper does preliminary research on sports report translation,involving areas such as text reading,vocabulary,cultural background,translation strategies and so on,hoping to promote sports report translation of the purpose of the development of theory and practice.
