The Research On The Students' Daily Life Of The National Northwest Normal University (1939-1949)

The National Northwest Normal University,which was established independently in August 1939,is an advanced institution of education for teachers of primary and middle school teachers in the northwest of China during the Anti-Japanese War.Its predecessor was the National Peiping Normal University,which was developed on the basis of museum of the Imperial University of Peking.The establishment of the National Northwest Normal University has great significance for the higher education in Gansu,or even in the northwest area during the war of resistance against Japan.In the flames of war,the college students who choose to study in colleges and continue to overcome physical and mental difficulties are one of the main part of the National Northwest Normal University.They vividly interpreted a vivid picture: they are pioneers of the revolutionary movement,the torchbearer of popular education,and also the practitioner of progressive thought.It is the innovation of this paper to select topics for the students' daily life in the National Northwest Normal University.Through this research,on the one hand,it is intended to restore the educational appearance at that time,on the other hand,it is a reference for today's education.The introduction part focuses on the origin and research value of the topic selection,and gives a brief introduction to the related concepts.The first chapter,"the students' general situation of the National Northwest Normal University",introduces the basic situation of the National Northwest Normal University and the students at that time from three aspects: the general situation of the university,the basic situation of the students and the course setting of the university.The second chapter is "the students' school life of the National Northwest Normal University",which includes four aspects of classroom learning,extracurricular learning,ideological and political education and examinations,which shows the students' school life.Learning life is the main content of school life.Knowledge acquisition is not only the teaching of teachers in class,but also the self-study of students in study room and library.In order to cope with examinations,students are working hard,studying hard and persevering.The third chapter focuses on the material life of students during the period of school from three aspects,including the economic status,diet and clothing,and accommodation life.To complete their studies,students actively strive for awards.When they were at school,they wore college uniforms,which were plain andgenerous.In the university,there are canteen for students to have a meal.In the holidays,there always be a group dinner to improve food for everyone.The fourth chapter tells the emotional life of the students,emotion between the students and the teachers,the friendship between students,and the deep responsibility of the teachers and students for the motherland.Finally,the fifth chapter,"the students' social movement of the National Northwest Normal University",explores the inseparable relations between the students and the society from the community activities,social services and social practice.The students have education at school,gain experience in social practice,and eventually became a man of tremendous promise of national construction!...
