Research On“Shun X” Mode Words

Since the 80 s of last century,the study of modalities gradually aroused the concern of linguistics,but due to the complexity of Chinese itself,there are no definite and consistent conclusions on the controversy over modalities until now.In this context,many scholars devote themselves to the study of the general theory of mode words,few people do a case study.While exploring the nature of part of speech,it is important to study the general situation of the part of speech.However,on the basis of previous studies,this paper focuses on the "Shun X" group of mode words,through the comparative analysis of their similarities and differences,and based on this summary of this group Characteristics of the mode words.This article is divided into four parts.The first part analyzes the syntactic environment where the "Shun X" mode words are located,including the subject and the sentence structure.The subject mainly analyzes from the point of view that the subject of each method word is human or material,or both can be compared with the singular and plural,and the result shows that the relationship between the subjects associated with "Shun X" can be expressed as: 1.Third person>First person>Second person;2.Subjects are mostly singular,and a few are plural,which can be expressed as: singular subject>plural subject.In the second part,the sentence structure elaborates three kinds of situations: the linked sentence,the putative sentence and the negative sentence,and the linked sentence is a kind of grammatical structure widely existing in the language,because in any language there will be an expression about a series of successively occurring actions.This makes the emergence of linked sentences become necessary,and the mode words are located before the verbs and used to modify the mode of behavior or the state of the subject,so the mode words are completely reasonable before the linkage structure.Through these comparisons,we have found more ways to distinguish the "Shun X" mode words.In the third part,on the basis of the study of thesyntactic environment of "Shun X" mode words,a detailed comparison of the differences among the internal members of this group of style words was made.The meanings of "shundai,shunshi,and shunbian" are closer,and their individual characteristics are not obvious,so this article will be divided into three groups of "shundai and shunshi,shundai and shunbian,shunshi and shunbian".The "shunlu,Shunkou,and Shunshou" will be analyzed separately.The "X" morphemes in "shunkou,shunluand shunshou" are all typical morphemes with distinctive personality characteristics.Therefore,according to "X",the three can be clearly and distinctly distinguished.The forth part of the "Shun X" group of six modal vocabulary lexicalization process of individual study,the first study of their common morpheme "Shun" grammaticalization process,combined with each word unique morphemes "X" one by one analysis of these modal phrases from the phrase gradually evolved into two-syllable words process.The research shows that although the formal words of "Shun X" group have the process of developing from the phrase into the two-syllable words,they have different morpheme status in the process of word formation,and some of the two morphemes are in the two-syllable sense,some have the same status,but others focus on a certain morpheme.In addition,after the lexicalization process is completed,some "Shun X" group mode words can only be used as disyllabic words,and some of them can be used as both syllables words and phrase;some "Shun X" group disyllabic words can be used as mode words or adjective,and other parts of speech,which could be used as the standard of synonym recognizing.This part summarizes the reasons for the lexicalization of the modal words in the "Shun X" group.There are mainly four reasons: firstly,the reanalysis of the syntactic structure;secondly,de-categorization;thirdly,the cognitive mechanism of "chunks" andhigh frequency using,in the word itself and the syntactic structure of the other components under the joint action,"Shun X" gradually appear as a two-syllable word,and fixed.
