Edvard Hagerup Grieg(1843-1907),the founder of Norwegian national music, was one of the most important composers in 19 th century Europe. He was prolific, and the creation of entire "Piano Lyric Pieces" ran through his life. After comprehensively grasping the creative background and style of Grieg's “Piano Lyric Pieces”,this article conducts a comprehensive and detailed analysis of Grieg's “Piano Lyric Pieces” Op.62's creation techniques and performance techniques..Grieg is one of the composers of the Romantic period. His creative skills have been exploited while inheriting some of the traditional techniques. For example,he is more plentiful in the application of tonality and widely used in the synthesis of harmony.Chords,four-and-six chords, semitone harmonies, sustaining sounds, etc.,and chords of foreign sounds to promote the traditional harmony and so on,these are clearly reflected in the “Piano Lyric Pieces” Op.62.At the same time, the performance of each song in Grieg's "Piano Lyric Pieces" Op.62 is not simple, from the grasp of rhythm, the expression of emotions, the control of speed, the use of touch keys and timbres, and the application of pedals, etc. There are more detailed requirements. The use of "Pieces" and the similar works is often overlooked in the process of practice and teaching. Each piece in "Piano Lyric Pieces" Op.62 not only has titles that are easy for players to understand and express the composer's emotion, but the playing skills are from easy to difficult. In this way,"Piano Lyric Pieces" Op.62 is playing a good transitional role to enter the learning and practice of high-quality tracks.
