Edward Grieg (Edward Grieg 1843 ~ 1907), a famous Norwegian composer, conductor, pianist, the representative of the Norwegian National Music during the half of the 19 century. Grieg composed the works of pianos and music mainly. He gave prominence to the spirit of the development of national style, and made the Norwegian folk music stand in the forest of world music at the first time. He created a 10-volume "Lyric Piece", a total of 66, which from 1864 , after thirty seven years, until 1901, had just completed. These pieces are short, extremely fine which by the form of diary recorded the looking, hearing, feeling of the composer during the past 37 years. many of them are exquisite, beautiful masterpieces of times, every song is in the form of title appear not only highlights the music content of his work and descriptive literature, which provided a second and broader creative imagination to more players and became the favorite of many pianists and music lovers .This paper focuses on "Lyric Piece" OP.65 object of study, this group of music was composed by six parts which were "prime years", "Farmer Song," "depression," "Sharon", "folk style" and "Teluoerde Haugen's wedding." The six parts were short and exquisite, different styles, some of lyrical, some of sadness, some of humor, some of joy, and showed a full scenery of the Norwegian village to people. I tried to discuss it by four parts which was included the background of the creating, music styles, the analysis of music form, harmony features, performance analysis and so on.The first section describes the Grieg's life, his creation, and the creative background of "Lyric Pieces" OP.65.I summarized the music genre's development process and the characteristics of Grieg's Lyric Pieces by his living environment, historical background, genre description, profile and so on.The second section is specific analysis to the six parts, which is analysed by the music itself, through the study of the musical form, harmony, compositional techniques, style, performance and other aspects, to try to excavate the characteristics of Grieg's creating and show the practice of his research and creation in his life. This part is the focus of this paper, especially the second section features work style and creative approach, I look through a lot of information and combine with my own analysis and understanding of the music, by romantic elements (melody be on, application of harmony, texture changes, etc.) and nationalism (subject matter, music genre and structure, the use of folk form, etc.) are two aspects of analysis, to try to analyse the Lyric Pieces Piano Suit of Grieg and provide more theoretical basis to the performers.The third section, I take "Lyric Pieces" Op.65 music as the basis, for the purpose of showing the features of musical style of Grieg Lyric Piano Pieces faithfully, and analyse the essentials of performance comprehensively . Combined with my play experience and knowledge structure, and then I explore it from the free rhythm, pedal, touch keys .Finally concluding section, concluding remarks and presents Lyric Pieces Grieg Piano artistic value.
